I Tried the Tinx Salad from Sakara and I Can’t Get Enough of It

If you’re a fan of Tinx, better known as “TikTok’s big sister,” you know that she doesn’t mess around when it comes to salad. She refuses to eat it with anything other than a spoon — a technique she calls “shoveling” — and strongly believes chopped salads are superior. Considering she originally became famous on TikTok by driving all the way to Calabasas, California, just to try the Kardashians’ favorite salad joint, it seems only natural that someone who loves salad as much as Tinx would team up with a brand like Sakara, a luxe plant-rich nutrition program, to release her very own.

Tinx’s Sakara salad features a base of kale and purple kale, lots of crunchy toppings (including purple cabbage, carrots, apples, watermelon radish, and a “sweet-and-smoky blend of nuts and seeds”), as well as vegan feta cheese, avocado, and chickpeas. In true Tinx fashion, the ingredients are all chopped up and easy to shovel in your mouth with a spoon. Tinx always puts hot sauce in her salads, so in addition to a cup of vinaigrette, the Tinx Salad also comes with a mini bottle of green jalapeño Tabasco.

The Tinx Salad is currently available nationwide when you sign up for a three- or five-day meal program with Sakara ($85 and up), but only for a limited time. To get a taste of it, you’ll need to sign up for a program that includes lunch by Nov. 1.

After trying the Tinx Salad myself, I only wish it were available longer — because it really is as tasty as Tinx says. Luckily, if you miss your chance to order the Tinx salad or simply can’t get enough of it, it isn’t too hard to recreate at home.

To get it right, just make sure to chop up all the ingredients into even-sized pieces, and don’t neglect the dressing, because that’s what brings everything together. When you order The Tinx Salad, it’ll come with a pre-made vinaigrette, but luckily Tinx shared how to make something similar on TikTok; all she does is take a near-empty bottle of green jalapeño Tabasco, add olive oil, mustard, and vinegar, then shake it up to combine. The only other tricky part is the nut and seed mixture; the Sakara version comes with a tasty blend of nuts and seeds, including buckwheat groats, pecans, pumpkin seeds, almonds, and puffed quinoa flavored with plant-based butter, maple syrup, smoked paprika, and sea salt. To replicate it, I just bought some premade trail mix with similar ingredients and put it in the food processor with paprika.

As someone who’s tried the real Tinx Salad from Sakara, I have to say this homemade version tastes pretty similar when you put this dressing on. (For visual proof, you can see them both side-by-side below.) Keep reading to learn exactly how to make the Tinx salad and green jalapeño Tabasco dressing at home.
